The Year of the Brand

As we look forward to the prospects and challenges of a New Year, we look back on 2017 with gratitude for the opportunities we had to help so many cool companies and organizations develop, manage, and sometimes redevelop their brands. Brand development is one of the services RSM does best and enjoys the most, and we were blessed in 2017 to work with some very smart people who understand the importance of brand integrity and trusted us with a seat at their branding table.

We had the privilege of helping Marillac Clinic transform itself into MarillacHealth, repositioning the organization as a full scope provider of healthcare services beyond the “safety net clinic” they were known as for so many years.


We worked with the great people at Junction Bell Federal Credit Union to make the transition to Harmony Federal Credit Union and create the brand assets that will allow them to move into the future as growing financial institution.



In collaboration with my former business partner, mentor and marketing strategist Tom Y. Sawyer, we helped create a new brand in Colorado West Land Trust, consolidating Mesa Land Trust and Black Canyon Regional Land Trust into an organization better positioned to serve western Colorado in conserving the region’s natural resources.


Working with the good folks at the River Front Commission, we helped create the One Riverfront brand, dedicated to maintaining, revitalizing, and providing public access to the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers through the Riverfront Trail System.


We completed a rebranding project for the Business Incubator Center, helping them to consolidate and clarify their brand position and develop a new archetype from which the organization is perceived in the marketplace.

We facilitated Brand Analysis Workshops—also known as Brand Camps—for a variety of other businesses and non-profits such as Metro Brokers, Western Colorado Center for the Arts, and the Counseling & Education Center to name a few.




Out in Hollywood, we had a blast updating and refining the brand assets for several businesses including the Hollywood Wax Museum, Hollywood Storage Center, and their holding company, Kuvera Partners.



Closer to home, Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker joined our family of clients and most of 2017 was devoted to overhauling their website and crafting a marketing strategy for the next three years.

In 2017 we also took on the new role of Publisher, working with St. Mary’s Medical Center to publish their Get Well! magazine—one of the hospitals most comprehensive brand assets—the 4th issue of which will be distributed in January.

And through it all, we’ve been blessed to have working relationships with so many great companies who have been with us for years, trusting us to help build their brands, grow their businesses, and tell their stories. I won’t list them all here, but you know who you are. Thank you all for allowing us the privilege of being part of your marketing team and we look forward to another great year!
